Another Reason To Own Gold
I believe that the FED will do another Quantitative Easing (printing money in other words) to try to get us out of the second dip. An extra $2T would accomplish the following: 1. underwrite the SEIU via money for govt workers at the State level; 2. devalue the dollar; 3. promote inflation; 4. allow the regime to pay off debts with cheaper dollars. Inflationary dollars will propel the Market and we will have to pay higher taxes for illusionary gains.
Roosevelt and Jimmy Carter were unable to rescue the economy by govt spending. The Obama regime will also fail. We will recapitulate the Jimmy Carter fiasco: stagnation AND inflation = stagflation. The stagnation is already in place. Inflation is yet to start seriously.

White Gold and Rose Gold
What makes white gold white and rose gold red?
Simply stated, gold is yellow in its pure form. What makes your gold jewelry a different color is the alloys that are mixed with it. Rose gold has copper and silver mixed in. White gold is mixed with palladium, nickel and small amounts of other metals. Since gold is actually yellow, “white” gold will still have a yellowish tinge to it. Therefore it is usually electroplated with Rhodium to make it bright white. This can wear off after a while, leaving the piece with a yellowish look again. The Rhodium treatment can be easily redone by a jeweler.

Gold Karat Content
What is meant by “karat content”?
Pure gold is designated as “24 karat”. This means there are 24 parts gold out of a possible 24 parts (100%). Gold jewelry usually is mixed with other metals, called alloys, which lowers the actual gold content in the piece and makes it harder. You will normally see a marking on the item somewhere which indicates the amount of gold in the piece, such as 10k, 14k or 18k. The jewelry could also be marked with a number, such as 417, 585, or 750. Read more
