You could be right. I own a fair bit of gold, but I’m not going out on a limb. If gold were to go to $100/oz I would not be ruined. On the other hand, if the dollar were to become worthless, I might be able to barter my gold for something useful. Everyone has to pick how far he wants to go into what looks like crazyland today.
Evidence for the coming fall in gold is the number of people advertising to sell it to you today.
Evidence for the coming fall in the dollar is the number of politicians who want to give dollars out as fast as they can.
