Take a look at the purchasing power of the US$ for the last 100 years. What the trend clearly shows is that it is in steady decline. Also there have been very few times where the average investor has been able to get a real return (rate of return minus inflation rate) on their investments. This is forcing many investors to consider gold. Proper timing of entry and exit points will provide an acceptable level of wealth preservation. If that way of thinking deems me to be labeled as a "goldbug" then so be it. Crystalline gold leaf

To see the ‘live’ spot NY gold price and some museum size gold nuggets I suggest you visit a great site I found a few months ago. I purchased a few nuggets from them just about a month ago, and not only are they beautiful to look at but in just the last few weeks they have really moved up in value!
