Gold nugget hunting in Western Arizona, within view of the Colorado River. White’s TDI Metal Detector used for 1st. time in Arizona placer gold nugget area
This is an American made pulse induction metal detector. The TDI is good for gold nugget prospecting, relic recovery, coin & beach hunting.
There is a lot of gold nugget prospecting in Western Arizona. Gold nuggets are still being found in the old Arizona gold placer areas. Gold prospecting can still be rewarding. White’s PulseScanTDI metal detector has a very useful variable audio tone feature you’ll see in use in the video.

Metal gold pans seem to be a thing of the past now… A shame, since they had more than one purpose. Old timers used to cook their meals in them! Also, they didn’t tend to float down the river if you dropped it by accident. Metal pans like to sink! It seems the new fangled plastic pans are taking over but its not so bad. They have some awesome features that make them better than their metal predecessors. Plastic gold pans have bigger and sharper riffles as well as new shapes that were never possible with metal.
Herkimer Diamonds
I like the real GOLD nuggets.
As most gold is mined as very fine dust and tiny nuggets, the larger (over 1oz) nuggets are very rare! Actually they are as rare as large diamonds!
