Bacteria appears to turn dissolved metal into solid gold

gold nuggets - natural gold nuggetsScientists at Australian National University claim to have found a bacteria that appears to turn dissolved metal into solid gold.

The bacteria, is called Ralstonia metallidurans.

It is unknown how the bacteria actually precipitate the gold grains, but it could be that the microbe puts out the gold as a way to detoxify its immediate environment. Gold is toxic to most bacteria.

This finding has been published in the journal Science. This could open up new opportunities for bio-processing of gold ores.     Australian gold nuggets

Gold to Rise Again!

gold barsAfter golds reversal, of appx 22%, it looks like we are in a base building phase. Over the next 12 to 36 months, though, after the Federal Reserve is done raising rates, it could go much, much higher. With so much capital roaming the world in search of the next big trade, in fact, it wouldn’t take much a spark of love from the world’s new legion of momentum-oriented hedge funds to push this thinly traded market to levels well beyond the $800 highs of the early ‘80s if inflation, sentiment and consumer-demand harmonize. L.A. Gold Tales

California gold nuggets

There is said to be a river of gold running through the San Gabriels, accessible through Mount Disappointment in Pasadena, from whence a Native American man used to descend, satchel of gold nuggets in hand. He would go to a local tavern and drink until the satchel was empty. Each time the white men tried to follow him back to the source. And each time they would lose him in the foothills. Of course he refused to reveal the location. Of course the white men eventually killed him.
