10.5 Ounce Gold Nugget Found with Metal Detector

Hi,My wife and I went to Western Australia recently on a Gold detecting trip,we camped out on abandoned mining sites and bush camped in other areas around Laverton and Leonora.
We were self sufficient with generator ,solar panel and satellite tv. We picked up the odd nugget here and there over a two week period, Then on the day of our 38 th wedding anniversary we went out detecting. I was using a modified Minelab GP Extreme and my wife was using a Minelab 2200D.

I got a signal dug up a nice 4 grammer,about a half hour later I got another very good signal ,I dug down about 12 inches and found the biggest nugget that I have ever found, it was a 40 grammer or 1.4 Ounces. I thought this was huge and was rapped.

Over the next hour I found another 8 nuggets making up close to another ounce.Then I got a very loud signal which I thought was probably rubbish ,an old can or something similar it was at the base of a 1 meter high salt bush ,Because I dig everything, I dug about 12 inches down and saw what I thought at first glance was a rock,so I grabbed it and when I felt the weight I could not believe it was a huge Gold Nugget, I called my wife and showed her we were stunned,we could not believe our luck on our 38 Th. Wedding Anniversary. We had this huge Gold Nugget and had no idea of the weight as our Gold scales only went to 3.5 ounces,so a couple of days later after finishing our detecting trip we went shopping a Woolworths in Kalgoorlie I went to the fruit and vegetable section and weighed the nugget on the scales. It went 326 Grams or 10.5 Ounces. The 10.5 ounce nugget is for sale so we are open to offers. Ray

Yes it is the biggest gold nugget that i have found,i can only hope that i can find another one like it
