This beautiful Australian Gold Nugget was found with a detector on one of the forgotten goldfields of Cape York Peninsula in Australia where gold has been mined for over 130 years.

It weighs 254.67 grains (436.8 grains in an ounce) or well over half once. It has an outstanding character shape. It displays the rich gold color and bright high luster characteristic of gold from this region.
